Hi, Iām Karina
A passionate photographer, writer, and designer who enjoys celebrating the spontaneity of life.
Early On
I started portrait photography in 2017 when I began doing photoshoots of my friends and family. I fell in love with the ability to tell a story by capturing small moments in people’s lives. To me, it is important for everyone to feel beautiful, and I strive to represent a person and enhance their natural beauty in all of my work. Photography belongs to everyone, and I look forward to sharing my work with all of you!
I currently shoot with the Canon EOS R system!
Today
I am a student at Columbia University where I study Psychology and Statistics. As well as being a freelance photographer, I am a college admissions mentor through Matriculate, and an avid baker and seamstress. I am currently working on preparing the clothes I have designed and sewn for publication on my site! I am also passionate about writing about issues pertaining to the Asian-American community and I hope that my words provide a space for others to share their stories.
Planned Spontaneity š
While celebrating spontaneity to its fullest, I often find it difficult to completely let go and leave everything to chance. My approach to spontaneous living is one of planned spontaneity ā perhaps an oxymoron ā but just as fulfilling nonetheless. Having fun while being prepared, making an outline of what to do while remaining flexible and open to change ā these are the approaches I take to photography and life.
